Switch the place from the menu bar panel, or merge two places that are really the same. Raising the sleep threshold in Settings keeps short breaks from splitting a session.
PlaceTimer cannot see the Wi-Fi network
macOS only reveals the network name to apps with Location Services permission. Turn it on in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.
How do I delete all my data?
Settings → About → Delete all data. Data exists only on your Mac, so nothing remains anywhere else.
Does PlaceTimer need me to press start?
No. It starts and pauses on its own based on the Wi-Fi network and whether your Mac is awake.
Does my location data leave my Mac?
No. PlaceTimer has no server and no analytics; everything is stored locally.
